The academic budget includes programs supported by state funds, self-generated resources, tuition and fees, sponsored grants and contracts, and private donations.
The provost office oversees development of the educational and general budget through an annual process that solicits and responds to prioritized request from each college and academic vice president area. The provost also provides one time support for special initiatives throughout the fiscal year.
- Incentive Based Budget Process (log-in required): The university is moving to a performance based budget model over the next two years. Information on the transition can be found here.
- Academic Resource Portal (log-in required): The portal provides access to the academic budget development database, college-specific hiring plans and scorecards, budget letters, and other academic budget documents.
- Authorized Budget Document (ABD): The university's official budget document displays and describes all components of the consolidated university budget for a given fiscal year (July 1-June 30). The ABD is maintained by the Office of Budget and Financial Planning.
